Purpose: The mission of the Nova High School Gay-Straight Alliance/Equality Club is to provide a safe and friendly environment for all students, especially those in the LGBTQ+ community. Additionally, the club intends to present educational lessons at club meetings to teach members about topics relevant to the LGBTQ+ community and equality issues.

Purpose: Nova's Poetry Club is part of the bluapple Poetry Network which is a multi-faceted spoken word poetry program available to all Nova students. The purpose of this club is to provide an environment for students to focus on literacy, prevention issues, and social awareness as vehicles for self-expression, ultimately empowering young people, as well as their schools and communities. Additionally, the network fosters a greater sense of connectedness and compassion as young people's creative ideas and experiences are shared across district boundaries.
