Dear Nova High School Titans,

Congratulations on being a Nova Titan! It has been my privilege to serve Broward County Schools and Nova High School for 22 years. My career began as a Nova Titan in 2004 and I am dedicated to continuing the tradition of rigor and excellence. Nova High School offers a variety of academic pathways for students to choose from including Advanced Placement, Dual Enrollment and Cambridge International. In addition, we encourage you to explore our Innovative Programs including Law and Public Policy and Cybersecurity. Academics has always been at the forefront of our mission of excellence.

We also encourage students to get involved in the school’s activities and athletics programs. Extracurricular activities provide a channel for students to foster relationships and build the social skills to become a well-rounded student.

Safety and security continue to be a top priority, and I will work diligently to provide a safe and secure learning environment for all students. At Nova, we pride ourselves on building personalized relationships with students and parents and honoring the Nova tradition by always “Doing the Right Thing”.

Welcome Back, Class of 2028!  

Welcome back to a new school year! I am entering my 30th year with the School Board of Broward County, and I am also a proud graduate of Broward County Public Schools.

As you begin your Junior year of high school, I encourage you to strengthen your experiences, take advantage of opportunities, and face challenges that lie ahead by utilizing your resources. Junior year is the key time to prepare for your future, so ensure that you begin practicing for the SAT/ACT and/or taking Industry Certification tests to grow your resume.  

Nova High School, an "A" school again, continues our tradition of excellence in Academics, Athletics, and the Arts. More importantly, we are committed to providing students with a wide range of opportunities that prepare them for life after graduation—whether your path leads to college, military service, technical training, or the workforce. Our faculty and staff are dedicated to helping you succeed, but your commitment and effort are equally important.

Continue planning for your post-secondary goals by familiarizing yourself with our BRACE and CTACE Advisors, who offer weekly presentations and are available during both lunches. Start exploring colleges, careers, military opportunities, or technical programs that align with your interests. Build meaningful relationships with your teachers, counselors, and other staff members. These connections can provide valuable guidance throughout high school and will be important when you need letters of recommendation for college admissions, scholarships, internships, employment, and other future opportunities.

Challenge yourself to give your best each day, both in and out of the classroom. Stay informed by taking advantage of the many resources available to you. Be sure to read the announcements on your Grade Level Canvas page, listen to the daily PA announcements, check your school email as often as you check social media, visit the school website, and review the informational flyers posted throughout campus. These resources highlight valuable opportunities that can support your academic, social, emotional, and personal growth.

Remember, the choices you make today will help shape the opportunities available to you tomorrow. Get involved, ask questions, seek support when you need it, and take advantage of everything Nova High School has to offer.
