Dear Nova Parents/Guardians and Students:
Nova High School is committed to ensuring that students graduate high school college and career ready. As such, Nova High School incorporates a summer program into its math curriculum. Math skills are vital for success on standardized tests, in higher education and in life. The summer math program provides students with intellectual stimulation that can help prevent discontinuity in learning by providing a summer math prerequisite skills review.
The Nova High School Summer Math Program will assist in preparing students for their 2025-2026 math course. These assignments will be collected as a grade within the first few weeks of school. The first major assessment of the quarter will reflect on this summer content. You may also utilize math websites for additional examples beyond the suggested math review. (Khan Academy, Delta Math, Math is Fun, etc.). As a good practice, you should note any concepts or questions you are having difficulty with as we will review these concepts again upon your return to school in August 2025. Remember, each class will have a different assignment, so it is important that you know which math class you are registered for next school year.
