Titan Think Tank

“Building the Bridge to Greater Expectations” 

 

• TTT will begin on September 2, 2025 (Gold Day)

• TTT consists of the Word of the Day and the Critical Thinking Problem  

• TTT should be on display in each classroom. Teachers should post: 

          o Word of the Day (definition, and example sentence only)

          o Critical Thinking Problem 

• Students are responsible for one composition notebook that they are expected to carry to each period for completion of the TTT activities.

• Each period is expected to adhere to the following daily format: 

          o Periods 1/5 – Introduce WOD, pronunciation, definition, and example sentence (teacher           provides). Student completes the synonym and antonym.

          o Periods 2/6 – Student sentence (use the word in a different context).

          o Periods 3/7 – Assigned activity (changes based on the word of the day).

          o Periods 4/8 – Critical Thinking Problem (can be done in pairs, groups, or individually). 

• Teachers will encourage students to incorporate the words into their daily writing assignments.

• The Word of the Day and Critical Thinking Problem will be posted on CANVAS.

• Assessments: 

      o All teachers will assign a participation grade in FOCUS for student completion of the TTT activities based on the criteria established by each discipline.

      o English teachers will administer the Word of the Day test.  Each Word of the Day test will include approximately 20 words.

      o Math teachers will administer the Critical Thinking Problems test as extra credit.
